C. Marthel Cunningham

WARREN - C. Marthel Cunningham, age 91, died on October 23, 2015. She was born on August 17, 1924 and lived in Warren her entire life. She was the daughter of the late John and Luta (Marshall) Caldwell.

Marthel was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding and worked for the Warren City Schools as a school nurse. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and it's Kirk Club. Also the Order of the Eastern Star, Warren's Civic Music, and Youngstown Musical Club. She volunteered for S.C.O.P.E. was a Girl Scout Leader, and youth choir Mother of the church.

She is survived by daughters, Joan (Kenneth C.) Kettering of Pittsburgh, PA, Mary Lou (Stephen H.Colmery) Cunningham of Fallston, MD.; 2 grandchildren, John W. Kettering and Lee S. Kettering.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Leonard H. Cunningham, whom she married in 1954; and brother, Dr. George Caldwell.

Friends are invited for a Memorial Service at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, Warren on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am, with calling hours one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Rusty Cowden from First Presbyterian Church, Warren will be officiating. The Eastern Star service will be held at 9:45 am. Final committal will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
