Betty L. Schofer

Betty L . (Weisner) Schofer, 84, of Lordstown, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Cortland Health Care Center.

She was born February 29, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Minnie Voss Weisner. She had been a teacher in the Lordstown Schools and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving Mrs. Schofer are two daughters: Priscilla (Edward) Detre of Lordstown and Deborah(Joseph)Facciolo of Cortland; a son, John "Tony" (Pam) Schofer of Lordstown; a brother, Robert Weisner of St. Petersburg, Florida; and five grandchildren: Laura and Tod Detre, Kyle and Jacob Schofer, and Nicholas Facciolo.

Preceding Mrs. Schofer in death are her parents; her husband, Martin Luther Schofer, who died in 1978; and a sister, Josephine Montgomery.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 30, 2004 at Crown Hill Burial Park, with inurnment to follow. There are no calling hours.
