Betty I. Henderson

Betty I. Henderson, 74, of Warren, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Imperial Skilled Care Center. She was born November 13, 1935 in Warren, the daughter of George and Irene (Lewis) Ashley, and had lived in the Warren area all her life.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mrs. Henderson worked for twenty years with computer systems at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed shopping and going for drives in her car, and her greatest joy came from her family, especially family picnics.

Surviving are three children: Lee Henderson of Niles, Laura (Mark) Sherwood of Southington, and Linda (Charlie) Webb of Warren; eight grandchildren: Nichole, Kayla, and Joshua Henderson, Brad and Brooke Sherwood, Camie and Michael Henderson, and Richard Webb; five great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Harry Leisy of Howland. Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Nils E. Henderson, whom she married January 16, 1960 and who died October 26, 1973.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 5400 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512. The burial of her urn will follow.
