Berniece Shirley

Berniece Shirley of Warren, passed away on Saturday, March 18 at 5:55 a.m. in her residence. She was 84.
Mrs. Shirley was born in Indiana, PA on November 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Bailey Wadding
Berniece was employed at Carlisle’s Department Store as a waitress in their diner for over 21 years. Following the closing of Carlisle’s, she went on to work at the former Horizon Nursing Home in the housekeeping department.
Mrs. Shirley was of Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and watching television especially FOX News.
Her husband, William Shirley, whom she married in 1951, passed away in November of 1976.
Berniece is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra Kell of Ravenna, OH and Gail Shirley of Howland; a son Terry (Pam) Shirley of Howland; 6 grandchildren, Lisa, Bobby, Bill, Tabitha, Terrijean, and Tammy; 8 great grandchildren including her loving great granddaughter Isabella.
In addition to her parents and husband, Berniece was preceded in death by 2 sons William and Tom Shirley; a son, Tracy Shirley; 6 brothers and sisters.
At the request of Berniece there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
