Belva M. Baker

Belva M. Baker, 66, of Franwae Drive, Warren, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 14, 1937 in Ranger, WV, to Ballard and Burvie McClellan, who predeced her in death.

She worked three years at Ohio Lamp, but left there in 1959 to raise her children. Never did a child come home from school without Mom being there to greet them.

She has been an active member in the Bristolville Freewill Baptist Church since 1964.

As sickness came on, one of her biggest fears was being put in a nursing home, but God extended his mercy, and, I'm sure, received her into Paradise without permitting her to suffer what she feared so much.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wallace of Warren; two daughters: Donna (Brad) Duke of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Sandra (Gary) Gorcoff of Dublin, Ohio; one son, Kenny (Rochele) of Bristolville, Ohio; three granddaughters: Samantha, Shelby, and Katrina; one grandson, Bryan; two step-granddaughters; a brother, Paul (Betty) McClellan of Champion; and a sister, Georgia (Don) Hall of London, Ohio.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Rayburn McClellan and Ballard McClellan, Jr.; and twin sisters who died shortly after birth.

Services for Mrs. Baker will be 12:00 Noon Monday, March 8, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Ferlie Yates and Rev. James Jewell officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday and an hour before the service on Monday. Material contributions may be made to the Bristolville Freewill Baptist Church, 2087 Greenville Rd. N.W., Bristolville, Ohio 44402.
