Barbara S. Richards

Barbara S. Richards, 56, of Bazetta, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born November 19, 1954 in Opelika, Ala., the daughter of Effar and Mary "Nell" (Haynes) Butler, Jr., and had lived in Trumbull County most of her life.

A graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, Mrs. Richards had worked as a service technician for Sprint Telecommunications. A free and independent spirit, she enjoyed motorcycles and gardening.

Surviving are her husband, Jay G. Richards, whom she married August 9, 1996; a sister, Patricia "Ann" Johnson of Warren; and a brother, Effar (Marilyn) Butler III of Houston, Tex. Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister, Mary Harvey.

Services are private. Cremation is taking place.
