Barbara J. Monroe Palipchak of Liberty, formerly of Niles, passed away with her family by her side at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015, in her residence. She was 62.
Mrs. Palipchak was born on March 21, 1952 in Warren, a daughter of Joseph and Barbara Pavlich Schuller.
She was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
Barbara was the owner of Deluxe Food Distribution for many years. Earlier in life she worked at the Red Cross, managed Olan Mills Portrait Studio, and managed numerous marketing firms throughout the valley. In her spare time she taught swimming lessons at Waddell Park.
She was a former member of St. Stephen's Church. Barbara was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan, enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery and slot machines. Barbara was a fantastic cook, but most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: her husband of 24 years, John Palipchak; 4 children, Lonnie Carnes and her husband Eric, Michael Everly, Joseph Monroe, and Donald Monroe and his wife Kara all of Liberty; 2 brothers, Joseph Schuller and his companion Karen Buntman of Liberty and John "Buddy" Hammond and his wife Linda of Niles; 6 grandchildren, Allyson, Andrew, Mikey, Erica, Billy, and Brenna.
Mrs. Palipchak was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Fr. George Doru Gage, pastor of St. Mary's Romanian Catholic Church.
