Barbara Knoch

Warren- Barbara Knoch age 66, (McCourt, Rupert) of Warren entered eternal rest after a long battle with cancer on December 3, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends at St. Joseph's Health Center. She was born on February 11, 1950 in Webster Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Elijah Sheldon and Emily Hosey McCourt.
"Barb" earned her career as a homemaker when her children were young, later in life proudly worked as a Dietary Assistant at TCAP Head Start. She retired from there in 2012 and enjoyed most of her time camping.
Barb had a giving heart which led her most often to help others, usually by means of preparing meals for them. She enjoyed sharing meals with friends and family and time with her grandchildren was precious to her as well.
She is preceded in death by a brother Robert Lee Hosey of MI, a sister Carolyn McCourt of Webster Springs and brother Arnold McCourt her eldest daughter Tracy Lynn Rupert (Harvey) of Warren, Ohio
She leaves behind a son William Kenneth Rupert of Warren, her daughter Rachel (Jesse) Dunn also of Warren. Seven grandchildren: Daniel Blevins of Warren, Robert Lester of Kingwood, WV, Elysa Rupert of Mecca, Lucas Rupert of Warren, Emily Hileman of Niles, Bradley and Olivia Dunn of Warren and two great grandchildren, Lyssa Blevins of Parma and a great-grandson Tommy Wisanout of Mecca. Also surviving is her ex-husband Earl (Butch) Rupert, whom remained a special friend to her. Brothers Therman (Shirley)McCourt, Clifford (Betty) Mccourt, , Paul David (Janie)McCourt, Arden (Jennifer) Mccourt, Sisters Mary (Larry) Simmons Donna (Bill) Stevens, Georgie (Richard) Stout of Summersville, WV and countless nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends, Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Memorial services will be held at immediately following at 6: 00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Armitage will officiate.
