Arthur Davis

Howland, Ohio - Arthur W. Davis, Jr., 84, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Joseph's Health Center. He was born on March 14, 1933 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Helen Booth Davis.

Arthur retired from IBEW 573 as an electrician. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding and served his country in the US Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant.

He married the former Clara ( Toodie) Hinkle on September 19, 1953. He was a member of Tod Ave Methodist Church and the Train Collectors Association. He was a Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 9 for many years and was himself an eagle scout. He enjoyed reading..

(Debbie) Davis of Newton Falls, , son, Eric (Julie Maciejewski) Davis of Howland, five grandchildren, Kathy (Adam) Goodson Benitez, Brent (Samantha) Davis, Cindy (Andy) Goodson Blanchard, Lindsay (Gabe) Davis Vigorito, Mia (Katy) Davis Wagner, six great-grandchildren, and brother, John H. (Billie) Davis of Lexington, KY

Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm and one hour before services at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Thursday July 20, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas G. Badanjek officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
