Arlene E. Naymick, 69, of Cortland, died 3:06 PM Sunday, January 16, 2005 at St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown. She was born January 31, 1935 in North Jackson, the daughter of the late Donald and Florence Moherman Carnes.
Mrs. Naymick was a graduate of Jackson-Milton High School and had been a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, country music, bingo, and taking care of her family. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital and at local soup kitchens. She had been active with the Women's Auxiliary of the Army-Navy Club in Niles, and with Scope in Warren.
Surviving Mrs. Naymick are two sons: Douglas Joy of Cortland and Christopher Ferrell of Mansfield; two grandchildren: Jesse and Lauren Joy of Southington; and two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Brooklyn.
Preceding Mrs. Naymick in death are her parents; her husbands Arthur Joy, Edwin "Gene" Ferrell, and Edward Naymick; and a brother, Donald E. Carnes.
Services for Mrs. Naymick will be 6:00 PM Friday, January 21, 2005 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Kris Patt officiating. Friends may call 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at Mannington Memorial Park, Mannington, W. Va.
