Anna M. Korz

Anna Korz, the lady almost everyone called "Grandma," died peacefully with her family beside her at Trumbull Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2006 at the age of 86.

Anna was born April 6, 1919 in New York City to Annie and John Boldt. In 1939, she married William Korz and had one daughter. Anna lived in New York City until 1983 when she moved to Warren to live with her granddaughter. For many years, she served as a volunteer at Hillside Hospital in the gift shop. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Anna was a devoted great-grandmother to Ellie Martin, grandmother of Anne (and Gary) Martin, and mother of CarolAnn D'Errico. Although she lived a long and full life, she will be sadly missed by all.

Anna was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters, her husband, and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter, all of Ohio, and two nieces in Virginia Beach, Va.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 16, 2006 in the chapel of Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483, with Fr. Robert Winter officiating. Anyone wishing to attend may greet the family in the church library following the service. Material tributes may be donated in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
