Ann P. Scali

YOUNGSTOWN - Ann P. Scali, 91, died on August 30, 2015 at Shepherd of the Valley - Howland. She was born on November 26, 1923 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Angelo and Antonetta M. Tabacchino.

Ann lived in the Youngstown area all her life working at Clines in her early years where she met her future husband. She was also employed for Floor and Wall Distributor and Safeway Incorporated for many years working in their office. She was a long time member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Youngstown and most recently St. Joseph Catholic Church in Campbell. Ann was a wonderful cook and baked delicious homemade pies and enjoyed sharing them with her family and many friends. Ann was mostly known for her dedication to her family and home, and for her highly prized independence and her ability to keep on working.

Memories of her will be carried on by daughter, Toni Scali (Steve) Murray of Warren; son, Lou (Mary Pat) Scali of Youngstown, brother, Anthony Tabacchino, grandchildren, Carmen Scali, Louis Scali, Catherine (Michael Tuscano) Scali, Michele Lilly, Erin (Devin) Barry, Jessica (Doug) Mocny, great-grandchildren, Holden J. Barry, Sawyer A. Barry, Antonio C.Tuscano.

Preceded in death by husband, Louis J. Scali, whom she married in 1942, until his death in 1978; and a sister, Marie Ferraro.

Friends are invited for calling hours on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren, and for a Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Warren, with Father Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Private committal service will be held at a later time.
