Ann Marie Tabasko Hoynos, 88, formerly of Warren, Ohio, died 24 March 2012 at the Medical Center of Arlington near Grand Prairie, Texas, where she moved in 2005.
She was born 20 September 1923 in Hecla, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Mary Tabasko. The family moved to South Amboy, New Jersey where she married Stephen A. Hoynos of Warren, Ohio, 23 September 1944. Stephen preceded Ann in death, 10 March 1995.
Ann was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Warren, for 60 years before moving to Texas and joining St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church.
Ann was a member of St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society, Over 50 Club, and numerous card clubs. She was an artist and craftsman, and continued to play a wicked game of pinochle right up to her death.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Tabasko; 3 daughters, Beverly Sheehan, Kathleen Reuschenberg, and Merry Lou Hoynos Emshoff; 2 granddaughters, and a great-grandson.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Altar & Rosary Society will have a rosary service 6:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society of St. Mary Church, 232 Seneca Ave. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
