Amareliss Margarete "Mousi" Yakell

Amareliss Margarete "Mousi" Yakell of Niles, passed away in her residence on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 10:10 a.m. with her family by her side. She was 88.
She was born in Farrell, PA on May 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa Crago Yakell.
Ms. Yakell was a graduate of Farrell High School in Farrell, PA. Following high school, Mousi as her coworkers affectionately referred to her as, was employed at the former RMI Titanium Company where she would monitor the inventory in the shipping and receiving area.
Marley was a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles. Earlier in life, Ms. Yakell enjoyed dancing. She was a wonderful cook and loved animals especially her dog, Daisy and cat, Anna. Most importantly she cherished the moments spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Malatesta of Warren; a sister, Janice Kent of Masury; a brother, Robert (Glenda) Yakell of Sharon; 2 grandchildren Brenda Louise (Walter) Edwards of McKinley Heights and Gina Marie Malatesta of Cortland.
In addition to her parents, Marley was preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph Frank "Lemon" Leonetti, whom she married June 14, 1947; a daughter, Brenda Louise Leonetti; a son, John Anthony Leonetti; a sister, Darlene Susan Yakell; a brother, Edward Yakell.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Marley made a selfless act of donating herself to the Northeast Ohio Medical University so that others may benefit and learn from her passing.
