Sebring, OH - Allie Wachter, age 92, passed away suddenly at Alliance Hospital on April 30, 2013. She was born on April 9, 1921 in Georgia to Walter and Linda (Felker) Barnes.
Allie was a graduate of Georgia State University earning her degree as an English Teacher. She taught in Georgia until she met and married well known architect Robert E. and then became a devoted housewife and mother. Allie pioneered the recycling that continues still today for Warren. She was active in the Republican Party, the League of Woman's Voters, Trumbull Art Guild, and member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren. She enjoyed her family, loved playing bridge, and dancing.
Surviving are her sons; Roy (Teresa) Wachter of Indiana, and Edward (Stephanie) Wachter of Cleveland, OH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 6:00 pm at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 N. Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio, 44481 with calling hours one hour prior to the service. Rev. Yesudas Devadan will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
