Alice E. Briggs

Alice E. Briggs, 51, of Warren, died 7:30 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born Tuesday, January 26, 1954, in Warren, the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Roberts, and had lived in the Warren area her entire life.

Alice had worked as a guard for Cyclone Security. She and her husband Kingsley had been foster parents for many children. She enjoyed painting, woodworking, cooking, and singing.

Alice is survived by her husband, Kingsley B. Briggs, whom she married December 29, 1983; a son, Brian Briggs of Ohio; a daughter, Misheila Briggs of Warren; two brothers: William Roberts of Indiana and Mark Roberts of Michigan; and three sisters: Dorothy Russell of Missouri, Laura Anderson of Mecca, and Roberta Anderson of Bristolville.

Preceding Alice in death are her parents and a sister, Rebecca Roberts.

Services for Alice will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 28, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481. Interment will follow at Champion Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday. Material contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, Ohio 44514.
