Alan Borowski

Alan Borowski, 62, of Champion died Monday, February 11, 2008, at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He was born August 7, 1945, in Poznan, Poland, the son of Edward Borowski and Gabriela (Rothe) Borowski, and moved to America in May of 1949.

Mr. Borowski graduated from New Castle High School in Pennsylvania then graduated from Youngstown State University. He also served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He retired from Delphi as an Administrative Manufacturing Engineer in April of 2007. After retiring, Mr. Borowski owned and operated Warren Motors, LLC. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed fishing, traveling, bowling and playing cards.

Surviving are his wife, Elaine (Rock) Borowski whom he married February 14, 1976; his sister-in-laws, Patricia Mindek, Alice Rock, Kathleen Rock, Mary Pat Rock and Carolyn Rock; he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Gabriela Borowski.

Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008, at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Ave, Warren, Ohio 44481. Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, prior to the service.
