Ada C. Haas

Ada Catherine Haas, 90, formerly of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born December 23, 1916 in Harrisburg, the daughter of William G. and Florence Sally Sevilla (Berry) Seibert, and had lived in Trumbull County since February, 2004.

Mrs. Haas greatly enjoyed music and had served as organist of a Presbyterian church in Mechanicsburg, Pa. for many years. She had been employed by the Troup Bros. Music Stores in Harrisburg. She also enjoyed gardening, trees, birds, flowers, and crafts, especially her beaded jewel Christmas and Easter balls. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.

Surviving are her daughter, Judith A. (George) Stevens of Howland; two grandchildren: Catherine E. (Zedrick) Clark of Millersburg, Ohio, and John T. (Rhonda) Stevens of Warsaw, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren: Zedrick J. "Jack" and Zoe Elizabeth Clark, Mitchell Cannon, Austin Dobbins, and Jace T. Stevens. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Sanford T. "Tom" Haas, whom she married October 20, 1938 and who died June 24, 1976; a sister, Evelyn Pye; and three brothers: Alton, Homer, and Nevin Seibert.

Private family services will be held at Shoops Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Material contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Valley - Howland, 4100 N. River Rd. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44484.
