Armando Gregg Morales, 83, of Warren, died 10:05 AM Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born Monday, July 24, 1922 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Armando Delores and Clara E. DeVoe Morales. He was raised in the Warren area and moved back to Warren from St. Louis, Mo. in 1959.
Gregg was a 1940 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended both Kent State and Ohio State universities. He worked as a supervisor for Alcan Aluminum, retiring in 1987 after 22 years. He was a member of Howland United Methodist Church and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, Fla. He also belonged to the Elks, the Youngstown Managers Association, and the Penn-Ohio Post Polio Group. He enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and lighthouses.
Surviving are his wife, Alberta Griffin Morales, whom he married June 16, 1990; four children: David E. Morales of Newton Falls, James E. (Deborah) Morales of Champion, Richard A. (Marlene) Morales of Howland, and Beverly Marie (Ken) Welsh of Cortland; five step-children: Jon (Michelle) Griffin of Niles, Maribeth Griffin of Brookfield, Conn., Julie Sadeckas of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kerri Griffin of Columbus, and Jennifer Griffin of Austintown; nine grandchildren: Christine (George), Bryan, Joel, Jeanine, Matthew, Kelly, Marshall, Caitlin, and Eliot; three great-grandchildren: Madeline, Justin, and Mae Lin; a brother, Emanuel Eugene (Frances) Morales of E. Providence, R.I.; and a sister, Shirley Simione of Austintown. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Beverly Jane Allsopp Morales, who died December, 1989; and two sisters: Elizabeth Loftus and Doris O'Rourke.
Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Dickens officiating. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
